The Gurdjieff Society
London, England
The Society was formed soon after Gurdjieff's death in 1949 according to directions he had previously given to his longest serving pupil Jeanne de Salzmann. The work of the Society, including the oral transmission and the study of the sacred dances known as the 'Movements', continues on the lines she established at that time.
The Society is one of the four founder-members of the International Association of Gurdjieff Foundations (www.iagf.org).
